The Cop Shop is a lot like the Bucs, when they're on, they're pretty good, but when they're not, they're horrible. I've been there a few times, and I'd be lying if I said I wasn't ever going to go back. I really wish they would be more consistent with everything, if so, they would be a solid 4 out of 5 stars. Most of the time the service is just horrible. By that, I mean it takes a solid 10 minutes from the time the waitress takes an order for a pitcher of Bud Light and 2 mugs, till the time it's brought to you. And no, they aren't busy. This is an average night where there are 4-6 waitresses not including the bar staff and about 5-9 tables with patrons. Sometimes the wings will come out PERFECT. Just delicious, huge, perfectly cooked, and tossed in sauce. 70% of the time, they come out with some horrible problem. Maybe you wanted extra crispy and the wing is virtually bleeding still. Sometimes you'll want them breaded and they'll come out naked, and you'll sit at the table while your friends eat while yours are re cooked. Sometimes you may get the food and realize that someone's entree is cold, as in it was cooked way before the rest. Sometimes even, ALL the food is cold, and you wonder why your waitress who is substantially under 20 years old (not that that's a bad thing, I'm moreso implying that a lot of the waitstaff gives an image of this being their first job) was spending time with the old single guy flirting (who is at a section that she isn't even waiting on), and not getting your *%$*$* food or drink as it becomes available. As I said, sometimes the food is absolutely perfect. Better than a lot of other places I've been at. I just wish that instead of only being good 25% of the time and bad 75%, it was the other way around. I'd change this review in a heartbeat. All in all, the Cop Shop isn't a bad place. I really don't know why they can't put out just a little more effort and be a great restaurant, one that would compete with the big two in the area. I don't know if it's the experience level of the staff, or maybe they are just people who don't really care about pleasing the customers. I've been there probably 10-15 times over the last year, and not one time the manager has ever came by and said hi, or asked how our time was. Maybe it's my fault for being nice when I go in, and not saying anything because I do enjoy going once in a while. Anyway, if you are the kind of person where when you go out you want a solid 90% chance of having a good time, you'll probably be better off paying a few bucks more and just going to Winghouse or Hooters, or wherever else you like. If it's close by, and you don't mind gambling on the 50-50% chance of having a great time or a lousy time, go to the Cop Shop.

The owner is a pri$* and the female servers look like parolees. As for the food, it gets a passing grade but don't waste your time and money here. Head to real sports bars like Varsity Club, Winghouse and for good looking female servers, not wannabes, The Tilted Kilt.

No one will always be happy with themes, service or atmosphere all of the time, But when it comes to consistency the Oldsmar Cop shop hits a HOME RUN with their food. Outstanding! Remember when it comes to Mom & Pop restaurants, we regularly return because of the sensible & practical prices and unforgettable mouth watering food that keeps me coming back twice a week. This local family owned sports bar & Gill would surprise you, just as I was, and I continue to return. I recommend the Oldsmar Cop Shop to everyone. Check it out for yourself and enjoy the wings or Ribs (my favorite) and an ice-cold beer.
